Our Mission
The Hepatitis Foundation International
(HFI) is dedicated to the eradication of viral hepatitis, a disease
affecting over 500 million people around the world. We seek to raise
awareness of this enormous worldwide problem and to motivate people
to support this important and winnable battle.
Our mission has four distinct parts:
- Teach the public and hepatitis patients
how to prevent, diagnose, and treat viral hepatitis.
- Prevent viral hepatitis by promoting
liver wellness and healthful lifestyles.
- Serve as advocates for hepatitis patients
and the related medical community worldwide.
- Support research into prevention, treatment,
and cures for viral hepatitis.
To accomplish this, we provide education,
training programs, and materials for the public, patients, health
educators, and medical professionals. We also support hepatitis
research, provide a patient telephone support network, answer a
toll-free hotline, maintain a database of hepatitis support groups,
and host this web site, your gateway to liver care and hepatitis
information.
If you would like to join us in the ongoing
fight against viral hepatitis, please visit our Donate section.
If you simply have an issue of hepatitis concern, call us toll-free
at 800-891-0707 from 9:00am – 5:00pm EST Monday-Friday. We’re here
– in person – to help. And, if you have time, explore our E-Store
where videos, books, booklets, brochures, primers and much more
await you.
