Next year the Hepatitis Foundation International (HFI) is celebrating its twenty-year anniversary! This is a big milestone for HFI. We have made a lot of progress in 20 years and have much more to accomplish. However we cannot do it alone and need your support.
As I write to you today, I am more concerned than ever by the rate and progression of hepatitis and the overlapping diseases and lifestyles choices that negatively impact the liver like obesity, HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, diabetes and heart disease.
I have always looked for ways in which I can personally and fundamentally make a difference. I founded the HFI because I decided to take a tragic situation that happened in my life with the loss of my youngest son, Dean, and take a strong stand. When I meet someone for the first time and they tell me a similar story of loss they have experienced that could possibly have been prevented, it strengthens my resolve that HFI continue its work.
The Hepatitis Foundation International needs your support.
