A leading cryptocurrency exchange is seeking a seasoned Blockchain and IT Analyst to join our Second Line Risk Management team. This role is ideally suited for individuals with a background in blockchain forensics and IT data analysis. The Senior Analyst will play a critical role in assisting the Investigators safeguard the company against internal and external fraud threats.
Key Responsibilities: - Track and monitor blockchain transactions.
- Trace and monitor blockchain transactions through multiple levels and layers, identifying and documenting the flow of funds across various addresses and entities.
- Conduct forensic investigations to trace the origin and flow of blockchain transactions.
- Analyze patterns and identify clusters.
- Perform detailed analysis of IT data and systems logs for forensic analysis.
- Develop and implement methods to systematically collect, process, and interpret data from various IT systems.
- Understand and track the use of money laundering concealment tools, such as mixers, tumblers,chain hopping, smurfing, privacy coins, peel chains, cross-chain, layering, DEXs, NFTs, OTC trading, gambling sites, etc...
- Group related transactions to form links and identify connections between entities.
- Provide detailed reports, charts and findings to support ongoing investigations.
- Compile detailed reports that clearly present the results of blockchain transaction analytics, including visualizations, key findings and actionable insights.
- Develop and customize dashboards to provide real time visualizations of blockchain transaction data and analytics for easy monitoring and reporting
- Stay updated on the latest trends, tools and techniques in blockchain analysis.
Qualifications: - Previous experience in blockchain analysis, cryptocurrency investigations, or related fields.
- Proficiency in blockchain analytics tools such as Chainalysis, TRM, Elliptic, etc...
- Strong understanding of various cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies.
- Proven experience in analyzing IT data and system logs, with a strong understanding of data processing and interpretation techniques.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools and software.
- Familiarity with money laundering tools and techniques.

- The salary range for this position is $153,000 to $219,000.
- The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. In addition to the salary, a performance bonus and long-term incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
